Mr Han Shengjian is the Director General of Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (Hainan IEDB). Hainan IEDB is the official entity established by the Hainan government that provides one-stop professional service to global investors as the exciting Hainan Free Trade Port development takes shape.

A devoted executive and a strategic thinker and decision-maker, Mr Han has long been engaged in government service on a bilateral and multilateral basis. He served as the Deputy Director General at the Trade Development Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce for eight years and made tremendous contributions to building platforms such as state-level expos, forums and dialogues to facilitate the globalisation efforts of many Chinese companies.

He also worked as a local leader at the primary-
level government in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, known for its hi-tech industries. He also worked as a diplomat in the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka; as a key department leader in the China Chamber of Commerce for the Export of Machinery and Electronic Products; and as a senior manager at the Nam Kwong Group, a large state-owned foreign trade company based in Macau.
