Wine O’Clock, a Cannes show success story in 2019, is making a digital comeback at the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo.

Wine O’Clock is co-hosted by The Moodie Davitt Report and integrated retail marketing agency FILTR. The event is designed to put the spotlight on the wine category and its burgeoning potential in travel retail. Brand owners representing several key wine-producing nations will participate in the event alongside leading retailers and a surprise guest. The event will feature an exclusive (virtual) tasting session of some outstanding wines.

Wine O’Clock will feature leading retailer and wine company speakers, who will discuss the future of the wine category in a post-pandemic travel retail landscape. The programme line-up will be announced in coming weeks.

The Moodie Davitt Report Virtual Expo has attracted the support of some of travel retail’s leading wine companies, and spirits groups with wine interests. They include Baron Philippe de Rothschild; Barton & Guestier; Campari Group; Château Loudenne (Camus); Duty Free Global (Taylors, Wakefield); Masi Agricola; Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail; Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinocolo; Schlumberger; The SEVA Group; and Stoli Group with several others set to sign in coming days.

During the COVID-19 crisis, The Moodie Davitt Report has hosted a series of ‘Virtual Wine O’Clock’ sessions, uniting travel retail wine lovers from around the world during their respective lockdowns. The virtual events, held via Zoom, have so far majored on wines from Italy, Spain and New Zealand.
